Our First Meeting - After the couple contacts me by phone or email, we arrange our first meeting. At this meeting the couple determines if there is a fit between what they are looking for in an officiant and the services I have to offer. If you decide to use my services, we will proceed by filling our some contact information. I will collect a non-refundable deposit that secures your wedding date and time.
Some couples wish to continue interviewing other officients or wish to talk about our meeting and choose not to make a deposit. I cannot guarantee that I will be available without a deposit.
Wedding Planning Guide - When your deposit is received I will give you a ceremony-planning guide to assist you in creating a personalized wedding ceremony. This special guide contains order of service guides, sample vows, readings & blessings. I am available by phone or email as you plan your ceremony from this guide or add your own personal touch. I will prepare a draft of your ceremony from our email and phone conversations prior to our second meeting.
Second Meeting - This meeting usually occurs several weeks prior to the ceremony and becomes a "mini-rehersal" wherein we will go over the draft ceremony and practice your speaking parts in my presence. This will help overcome jitters and increase your enjoyment of the ceremony. The balance of my fee is due at this meeting.
Marriage License - I ask couples to bring the license package to the second meeting. A marriage license is valid for sixty (60) days after the intial 3 day waiting period for the State your ceremony will occur. It is my responsiblity to comlete the marrige license documentation and return the signed documents to the County of origin.
Rehearsal - Typicaly the extensive planning sessions prepares couples well enough so that my attendance is not required at rehearsals. Couples find that the copy of the ceremony I give the couple prior the wedding is all they need for the rehearsal along with the assistance of their wedding planning or coordinator. I am available for consultation for issues pertaining to the ceremony right up to the wedding day. In some cases, however, a rehearsal may still be desired and can be scheduled for an additional fee. It is best to schedule a desired rehearsal early to ensure my availability.
Wedding Day - On the day of the wedding, I arrive about thirty minutes prior to the scheduled ceremony. I usually coordinate with the various professionals, such as the site wedding planners, musicians and photographer. You're now ready to enjoy your perfect wedding celebration.
